New Jaguar E-Type to be built
Hi all
Massive news (well I think so), it seems a new Jaguar E-type concept is going to be put into production. No exact figures on price yet but estimated to be between £400-800k depending on numbers of cars produced.
Full details here

Looks stunning, what do you guys think?

I think it looks fantastic. But if that is the price I will never own one unless I winn the lottery. Megamillions is 105 million this weekend, so maybe I could get one. I will just buy a ticket and hold my breath.
No, no, no - this has nothing to do with Jaguar the company. What is pictured is a Swedish design. If your Norwegian is good, go to:

Of course, all this is totally subjective, but the more I look at this, the less I like it. It starts to look more and more like a mish-mash of various borrowed styling cues. I truly dislike the "coves" into the lower door panels - looks like something stolen from the classic Corvette. The paired headlamps look like something lifted from a Lexus design, and the small bonnet mouth opening lifted from a Series 1 E-Type looks jarring between those headlamps (perhaps the larger Series 3 E-Type mouth with grille would have matched that headlamp treatment better?). The rear view looks like the designer decided to borrow the XJ-S flying buttresses and graft them onto a truncated E-Type FHC rear. And finally the way the side window's rearmost "C" pillar gets bumped by the rear wing haunches just looks deformed.
Sorry - no way Sir William would have signed off on the visuals for this design. At least, that is my own opinion, which is (of course) worth squat.

I love this! Although I don't like the front end too much but the back and side profile is astonishing.

This Growler sounds like a carbon fibre reskinned XKR. They'd be smart to line up a bunch of sales to get the price down--and contract Valmat (Finland) to assemble the cars. Valmat already builds all the Boxsters for Porsche--a great car.
Hi
I have to say this is one of the "least worst" attempts to jump on the e type bandwagon. But as Jag themselves have announced plans for a new smaller sports car, then surly that is the new e-type!

With respect to looks, a very ugly E-type concept in my opinion.
Looks like an Acura Integra mixed in with a little bit of Mazda Miata.

One of the best looking designs I think Jaguar ever came out with was the previous generation XKE - just like the above car from smoggyx100 (mid 1990's to 2006 model).
