Question Value of Car?

How much should I offer on a 1972 roadster, no rust, west coast car, has not run in many years. Complete car in decent shape visually, mechanics unknown. Been with one family since new, 40K miles on odometer. What is a fair offer on this car, $35K, $40K? I know I would have to change all fluids, go through brakes, and fuel system, etc.
What do you guys think price wise?

Hi Fat-Cat,
Hagerty has a #4 car at $43K and that's a running/driving car, so my WAG would be $30 to $40K. There is also a 15% deduction for auto, 10% add for A/C and 5% add for wire wheels.

I hope this helps
