Value of original 4 speed transmission gearbox from 1966 eType?
I'm going to list my original jaguar 4-speed transmission gearbox for sale this week removed from my 1966 Series 1 XKE eType FHC.
It was removed and crated at ~80k original miles during restoration, it worked wonderfully with no issues. I ended up replacing it with a 5-speed and thus would like to find a new home and owner for it.
I'm not certain what these sell for, so can anyone share advice on pricing or let me know if interest before I formally list it for sale? It is in Austin, TX USA but can ship easily.
Thank you in advance -

Yes, much better to hold on to it for when the car moves to its next owner.
The 4speed is worth only a fraction of the car's value. The main buyers might be someone like me who wants to put it into an early XJ6. For that you need everything from the flywheel back, and the pedal box. Such a setup can be bought from UK dealers for around $4K. To me this means a good 4sp is worth at most around $2K
