Default What happened to this E Type?

Many years ago I lived in the San Francisco area and owned a very nice red Series 1 DHC with the chassis number 877794, California registration 137XON. I sold it when I returned to the U.K. in 1981. I have owned 3 series 1 E Types. The other two still exist but this one has gone missing. Does anyone know anything about it? Old photos on xkedata.com

Don't know about your car, but many times titles get changed. I have a 1947 Triumph motorcycle. Because I changed a few things to pass the inspection in my state, had to register it as a reconstucted vehicle. A letter to the motor vehicle division in California may help to find out. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/de...tacts/contacts
