Wire wheels on an XK8, not OEM certainly. I'd be surprised if they are up to the job.

To the best of my knowledge, the last car to leave the factory with wire wheels was the E-Type. All of the other, newer cars with wire wheels most likely have Dayton brand wheels. I know that these can be a problem on the Xj40/X300 cars because they are so heavy that they will bend the rim after awhile. Now, your Xk is lighter (I would think.), so hopefully, it wouldn't have that issue.
