I've looked at many threads on this but haven't found any definitive answers to what the problem is. The diagnostics show "B112C-67 Internal motion sensor - Signal incorrect after event". Bought and fitted a new genuine Jaguar motion sensor in the roof console. Tried locking and unlocking the car but still double beeps. Took it to a Jaguar specialist who reset the codes and tried it again but with the same result. They said they checked the voltage and signal cables and all were okay. There's no errors or warnings on the dash and all doors and filler flap are all locked okay. The specialists thinks it's possibly the BCM that's at fault but that's a lot of money for something that isn't guaranteed to fix the issue. Has anyone else experienced this fault? I did disconnect the battery for 5 minutes at one point and the fault disappeared for a couple of weeks but is now doing it every single time the car is unlocked.
The double beep is the car letting you know that the alarm was triggered while it was locked. If you are sure that's not the case, and it's not a bad motion sensor since it's been replaced, unfortunately I would agree with a bad module. Not something I've seen happen, but anything is possible. Car does not double beep on locking right? Only on the unlock? Are all doors actually locking?
Hi RoverJoe .....thanks for your help. No, it doesn't double beep on locking and all the doors, fuel flap etc lock correctly and unlock correctly. It presumably doesn't like something about the internal movement sensor but the alarm is definitely not activating. Any idea what the cost of just re-flashing the BMC would cost just to see if it's some kind of software glitch?
A dealer would charge an hour to program it most likely, the rate will vary based on your location. Down here in my area some of the stores are over $400/hr now. I didn't think we used the internal motion sensor in our market, so I'm not too sure about it causing that itself. I believe it can be disabled, through your screen or other options, might be worth trying that first before you spend money on it. Let me look into it a bit and see if I can find you any more useful info.
Attached a clip from the workshop manual, if you try as it mentions to only single press the lock button, which should not arm the volumetric sensor, does that stop it from beeping? I was looking for it stating the double beep was due to the alarm trigger but I didn't see it in this section, I will have to keep looking.
only ever use 1 push to lock the car so it's interesting that it feels there's something wrong with the internal movement sensor. It's booked in with a Jaguar dealer in February. That's the earliest they could do!
