So I left the SVR at Logan airport for the past 7 days, While waiting for our bags in baggage claim I decided it was so hot in Boston that I should remote start the beast and get it cooled off.. Open the app and see " low power mode , remote climate not available , manual start needed to re-enable this feature ".. ummmm W....T...heck?
I walk up to the rear hit the button , hatch doesn't open.. Grab the drivers door handle doesn't wake up, doesn't unlock, nothing. Get the key fob out hit the unlock button and it unlocks. Tried to start it , won't start. Call jaguar Roadside they tell me it's going to be about 2 hours to get someone to me .... NOT HAPPY .. freaking car has 3600 miles on it now... while on hold I get on my AAA app and request a jump start service. I get a call 3 mins later stating that he is 10 minutes away, and on the way to me , then confirmed which area of central parking I was in. I then told jaguar roadside to pound sand and they suck ..
Connect jump box up to the SVR, boom she starts up... drive it 1hr home ,
Next day , I tried to remote start it in my garage.. won't start. I get into it and it starts fine. I Then took it directly to the dealer and told them what happened. They took it in immediately and 45 minutes later service manager comes over to me stating that the battery is weak and fails all tests and that they are putting a brand new battery in that was just manufactured by jaguar 45 days ago. showed me the picture of the new battery and the manufacture date. He apologized several times and said he also checked for any open recalls, software updates and will completely clean the car as well.
Mine freaked out today, wouldn't stay connected to apple carplay, kept connecting & disconnecting, I tried just bluetooth , and kept doing the same to that over and over and over while driving then completely went silent , no radio, sat radio, nav, completely silent. Went to the dealer on my way home from a meeting , left it running in the service welcome bay, The master tech went right out too it got in , scratched his head and said " maybe the weak battery screwed with it , let me take it in " He had to re-flash the infotainment system , reprogram it , now all works again .

Wow, at 3600 miles the battery is dead?. Did you have a state inspection emission test? I read some info regarding Jaguar owners having battery problems after the emission tests were conducted.
That's a terrible way to end your trip. Glad the new battery fixed it. (BTW, I have almost identical mileage, so far so good)
Same for me.

That's interesting, and something that I hadn't heard. I do, however, take our Jags back to the dealer for their state inspections, so that may be a good thing.......

NH state inspection only looks for CEL lights and Emissions codes, the rest is purely safety checks, ( fluid leaking, cracked glass, lights, light operations, horn, worn or damaged suspension parts, exhaust leaks, ) , which was done at 325 miles on the OD. The beast is working 100% right now .... as with all LR/Jag product subject to change at anytime ;-)

yeah that doesn't happen in NH, they literally connect the state laptop to the car, it checks for CEL lights, and certified mechanic signs off on the visual safety inspection .. and done

Pretty much the same in New York........but I still take it to the dealer, and get the oil changed, at the same time.
