I'm in southern Spain and InControl flashed up a warning on my iPhone that the vehicle alarm had been triggered. When I returned to where the F-Pace was parked in the direct sun, it was untouched so not an attempted theft but the alarm activated again as I approached. Temperature indicated on the Instrument Pack was 92 deg F and it was seriously hot inside. Had to open the tailgate and driver's door to get the temperature down. Not the kind of temperatures I ever experience at home in England but I was surprised it would set the alarm off. I've had an X308 and two X150's down here before and not had this happen.

Anyone in hot climate area ever had a similar experience with their F-Pace?

Use the steering wheel menu to check “Last alarm”. I’ll bet you a cup of coffee it’s the hood. The micro switch in the hood release goes bad.

 

NO - but it put me on the right track to the cause. It was the tailgate.





Still a mystery why it happened. The vehicle has been locked/unlocked and parked a few times since without any repetition.
