Talking Alarm Sound

I have a question, has anyone here ever heard there alarm go off on there Jaguar. I have a 02 X-Type 2.5, and I tryied every way I could think of to set the alarm off and I can't seem to set it off. I just wanted to know what it sounded like in case I'm ever in a store and someone trys to break in, I would know what the alarm sounded like and I would know it was my car. I put the window down, closed the car, and set the alarm and opened it from the inside, no alarm. I set the alarm and shook the car up and down, no alarm. What sets these alarms off? I have the little triangle in the front window saying Jaguar alarm. Anyone know, I'm sure there's a couple of you that know, inlighten me. Thanks and have a good day.

If you want to try it, climb in the car, arm it then get out without disarming it. it'll go off. It's the car horns honking.

Nope I had tryied that before and it didn't go off, but just in case I went down to the garage and tryied it again, making sure that I gave the car plenty of movement. It didn't go off. Any other things I should try, maybe I'll have to see if there's something wrong with the system, can't be a fuse or the red blinking light wouldn't work.

I have gotten it to go off by trying to open the doors from the outside while it is armed (pull on the door handle a bunch of times from the outside while it is armed).

weird, mine when it's armed, if I open the door it goes off. Also you can slap the windshield and it goes off.

But at least you know what it sounds like now.

I've noticed my Jag (S-Type) has a shock sensor as well. If I open the trunk using the buttons on the remote and close it, it does not disable the shock sensor in anticipation of the trunk being closed. I have a habit of setting the alarm off doing this.
