Hit and Run Ligurian Black SVR
Hello- last week a Jaguar SUV came up onto the sidewalk in Brooklyn, hit my wife, almost hit my 10 year old son and then took off without stopping. NYPD has an active investigation but the detective assigned to the case has 30 other ongoing investigations and I am trying to do a little legwork to catch this person. I noticed a couple of things as it was happening. It was a flat black, and the engine had a deep low grumbling sound. The vehicle was really beautiful, tinted windows, and it seemed like they had spared no expense building it. From a quick browsing of the Jaguar website, it seems the only color option had to be the Ligurian black, and that the model was the SVR- I don't think the other F Pace models have engines that would make the same sound as this. So, I'm asking for a bit of help if anyone can tell me if there were other flat black/charcoal options offerred in previous years or if the Ligurian black is new to the 2024 models? A sales agent told me that it doesn't really matter, that everyone is getting their cars wrapped, but does the wrapping look as good as this paint job which costs over $10k from Jaguar? Especially with a matte finish? Another thing that my wife remembers is that as the driver put the car in reverse, there was an light strip over the license plate that illuminated from the center outward. She said that she noticed this before it happened and that it looked impressive. This does not seem to be an accessory offered but if anyone has any ideas about any spots in the NYC area that might offer this sort of after market feature I'd be interested. I have been told that there aren't many of these SVR's out there so any insight you could help with would be much appreciated.
Yeah, the wraps look that good. Since the whole car was pimped out ghetto fabulous I'd try looking around Red Hook for a rapper who drives one. Realistically tho I don't think you're going to find them with that little info. There may not be many SVRs but NYC is a really big place. Maybe you'll get lucky and drive past them one day tho. Try and remember to get a plate number next time. Of course, it could be rewrapped red already too.
Hope your wife is OK.

it wasn't driving fast when we first saw it, and the police have not mentioned that one was reported stolen. Of course if it wasn't reported stolen until a day or two after the incident, that might point towards the owner being somehow involved or knowledgeable of the situation also. Thanks.
