Broken key fob/ key locked inside/dead battery
2020 f pace. My car only came with one key fob and it broke. Not thinking, I left the actual key inside the car. A day after getting an oil change (not at a dealership🤦♀️) the battery was dead, key locked inside. What’s the best route to take here? Call roadside assistance(covered by insurance) or go to dealership and pay out of pocket for a new key, which I hear can be kinda pricey.(I probably need to do this anyway). Could the oil change place be at fault? I read if they undocked from the computer system improperly it could have drained the battery. Is there a way to jump it from underneath (without getting inside to pop the hood?
How did you lock it if the key is inside the car?
And can you clarify. You only have one keyfob and it's broken? So how do you normally unlock and start the car?
Dead battery has nothing to do with key being broken. And the f pace doesn't typically have that battery drain gremlin (that's an f type issue)

If your doors are locked and you have no keys, it's gonna be expensive to fix. Try to contact a local locksmith first before the dealership option.
Your metal key won't open the doors? If the car is dead, you need to pop the doors open, and then the hood to supply battery power.
