Default Can AutoStop be Turned Off and Kept Off?

My wife is very annoyed by the AutoStop feature on her 2022 F-Pace S, and especially annoyed that it takes several touches to turn off, and it is always back on when the car is started.

Does anyone know how to disable AutoStop so that it doesn't come back on every time the car is started? Dealer says no but it is so annoying that I am hoping someone has figured out a hack or found an aftermarket product to disable it.

I have seen on one of these forums about removing a fuse to disable the stop start
I dont know anymore than than i am afraid, hopefully a google will keep you right.
As Graham has pointed out advice is often given with the best of intentions, however the background knowledge and sources are mostly unknown.
For something like this i would be looking at getting 3 or 4 different results/posts saying the same thing, and reporting success, before i go pulling wires / fuses.

I fully understand about the auto stop start, the wife does not have an issue, but for me the timing is always wrong, bloody thing always stops as i want to go and then i am left pumping the clutch in a panic to try and get going again... LOL

good luck.

I've looked for the module as mentioned in the other start/stop thread but did not find it in the rear passenger corner. Then I looked at the battery as mentioned here but am uncertain which wire to unplug. Can someone please clarify this?

Added to F-Pace 'HOW TO' Guides and Information thread under section 2 AUTO STOP/START - De-activate.

I unhooked the small wire as shown in the video above. Seems to work as advertised. The first time I started it after removing the wire, I did get a limited SOS notification, but have not seen it since the first start.

You can, but you have to do it every time you start up. Unhook the wire and it never comes on.

you can program the diamond button on the steering wheel to turn off the start stop function.
