Default Engine Failure after 33,000 miles

Just been told by JLR Approved dealer that my 6 year old F-Pace with 33,000 miles needs a new engine (£20-22K) needs a new engine because of low compression in 3 of the cylinders. Absolutely ridiculous. Written to JLR CEO who kindly wrote to apologise for all the hassle Jaguar owners were having over the security updates and thanking us for our patience. Told him mine was perfectly secure as it wouldn't start. Any ideas how I can get redress as it looks as if I am writing off a 6 year old car. Should never happen.

Sorry for your troubles. Would help if you put which year and engine you’re wrestling with in your signature or in the post.

Any idea of the oil level? Oil change intervals?
Has it been over heated? Hard to say without more information?

It's hard to magine at 33K miles the engine is toast unless the owner was very hard on the vehicle or just neglected it's maintenance routine.

If you stand a chance of any 'goodwill' with Jaguar, you will need to show that it has had all the required servicing and oil changes on time. What is the engine 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder, diesel or gasoline?

I guess no further info?
Looks like another hit and run dead thread. Sad to see!
