Hi. My 2017 S model infotainment hasn’t updated since 16/12/2022 v S22A_22.32.4-928505

A few years ago the dealer says needs new hardware but not willing to spend the money on it. So many other issues so becoming a money pit. Would anyone know of a solution besides replacing the whole system? Likely not but just in case.

22A is the last software release for the old IMC system, after the switch to PIVI in the facelift, there are no more SOTA updates. Either replace the IMC if you're having hardware issues, or look at a complete aftermarket overhaul solution, but be prepared to sacrifice some functionality, there's lots of things running through the OEM systems.

 

I am guessing my current IMC has issues so I would need to replace it with a new OEM IMC to solve the problem? If so that is a very expensive route. Would anyone know the part number?

 

It has to be dealer programmed, and would need maps installed and SOTA reset via topix. It's not something you can do yourself sadly. Do you have a good independent shop near you that does JLR work? This is normally going to have to be done by a retailer, does your car fall within the warranty extension timeline? If you supply your VIN I can try to see what information I can get for you.
