Default has anybody ordered a 2022 F Pace SVR ??

A Jag dealer that I've been in contact with claims they have an allocation to a '22 SVR that I can have. A few questions as I've never ordered/built a new car:

-how "rare" is a '22 allocation right now (given the whole COVID thing)
-how long should I expect to wait for the car to be built and delivered? Dealer says 3 months....is that accurate?
-any favorable current financing options on new Jags (1.90% financing for example)

A few questions specifically to the new SVR:

-any squeaky brake noise?
-would u order it with mudflaps?
-am concerned that the engine noise is too "neutered" (no bangs and pops etc) on the '21 and later models. Any ways of ways of reversing that without messing up the warranty? I want it to sound as aggressive as possible

As far as I know the headups display is not currently available on 2022 models due to the chip shortage. That is fine with me as I find it to be distracting anyway.

Anything else that I should be thinking of??

ANY thoughts would be appreciated!!

Thanks
-

Hi Parnelli - how is your SVR search going? Any progress? I've been looking around - I'm sure you've seen that there are still a few brand new 2021 SVRs around if you want to move more quickly and aren't too detailed on exactly the spec you want. Although asking prices are still high. Not sure what they are actually getting for them though?

Allocations are rare and builds are slow. Plus due to chip shortage you don't quite know what you will get. Some of the Land Rovers have been coming without keyless entry or with the analogue display due to chip shortage. So even if you order well specced it might come missing a few elements

I've not heard of squeaky brake noise - why do you ask. The brakes are pretty standard on many models. I would get mudflaps to protect the panels a bit from the battering they get...

Bangs and pops are a bit reduced due to noise regulations. But it's still a loud car. You can add them back fully with a tune and there are several companies tuning many many Jags with the 5.0 V8. But - you do run warranty risks if something goes wrong with the engine.

I'd go with the upgraded sound system. And the drive / lane assist package.

Anyone know when they plan to shift to 2023 model year production? Seems like it gets earlier each year...

Hey BritCars-

thanks for this feedback..

The dealer that I was talking to who said he had an allocation basically has flaked out on me.
wouldn’t respond to my emails in a timely manner or phone calls. My guess is after he and I spoke about the allocation in middle of November he realized he could probably sell it to somebody for above MSRP.
I’m not into paying a “market adjustment” on a new car. Just not my style.
I always see the same 40 or 50 SVR‘s for sale online. Not much seems to be moving lately though. Not sure what they are even actually selling for.
I did hear about many options not being available in 2022. No Keyless entry would be a major issue for example.
I had been looking for an ultra blue with the ivory interior. Still not sure about which wheels look better yet though.

What exactly are you looking for on your SVR?Keep me updated on your search

The F-Pace is the most popular Jag here in Houston but I have never seen an F-Pace SVR on the road. Maybe SVRs are too pricey, buyers just settle to the standard F-Pace models

Not to many here in Phoenix AZ, at least not SVR's. I just picked up a new 2021, silver/black interior. Bought it from Autobahn in Dallas, had it shipped to Phoenix. Were none in AZ.

Figures. Lol. Those must be in transit. When I took delivery of mine a month ago, Scottsdale nor Chandler had any. I think they may also be a dealer that adds ADM if I recall. ?

funny how they are on dealer websites from time to time but you never actually see them out in the wild on the roads!

I bought my 22 SVR last month in Tucson. It wasn’t an order, so my comments may not apply. It has everything that can come on an SVR, so I guess it slipped through the chip shortage. I did pay full retail, and I am ok with that because it is pure joy.

Eiger Grey 2021 F Pace SVR here.

I do see an nice yellow F-Type (and hear it occasionally as well) lurking in Tucson. I also have seen rarely, a "modern" sedan or too, several regular F-Paces, one E-Pace, and one I-Pace, pickings are slim here.

Karamayoko absolutely will wave when I see you and that cool plate!

This is really good news for all the Jaguar fanatics. Jaguar is going to launch its first SUV in the Indian market soon with the name F-Pace. This car is expected to be launched in the year 2017, and will be Jaguar’s first true SUV. The car will feature a brilliant 2.0 turbocharged engine producing 285 kW of power.
