Default Jaguar F-pace ---steering wheel (column) doesnt go low enough

Just purchased a beautiful 2018 F-pace S ......my first impression, before even driving it was that the steering wheel (column) doesnt go low enough (yes its at it's lowest level)
I will admit I've owned other sport SUV's that were much "sportier" than this in terms of performance..Porsche Cayenne turbo, SRT Jeep .....BMW X5M etc..so I'm probably used to that.
But I will say, this is by far the most gorgeous SUV on the planet, and only wanting to spend in the 30s...I decided to go with it. Black on black, with every option except 22's...which is driving me crazy now, mine has the 20's (black) with new Michelins...looks Ok but I will definitely look here to trade / buy 22's.
I am a tad shocked that I have not noticed one single complaint about the steering column thing after doing numerous searches.
Maybe I'm old school? Between the exhaust not sounding anything near as "deep" as I would like...the steering wheel (column) issue....and the steering not being as "heavy" as I'd like, even in Dynamic mode.
Yeah I will prob need to look into the SVR, when I can afford it. I would assume all of my issues would be solved by spending all that extra $$.....and I'm guessing thats why they created the SVR, to appeal to the more hard core sports car enthusiasts.
Was just curious on others opinions....

The position of the steering wheel is always relative to the hight of the seat base….can we assume that you have raised the seat in an attempt to optimize that relationship? If the seat is too low, the steering wheel will feel too high. Of course, your torso height plays a factor here.
