Default just purchased a project 2017 2.0 diesel, has egr issues?

So I purchased a project 2017 F-Pace R-Sport 2.0 Diesel, i got this at Salvage auction and didnt really look real hard at it, turns out it has some engine issues not just the accident damage i had seen. so to start I am a Audi Tech, but my wife likes the looks of the Jag so figured I would give it a try, but I am no diesel tech at all. What i know is the glow plugs were unplugged, and the EGR cooler and egr valve were unbolted from the intake. i plugged in all the electrical and it fires right up, and sounds good, but wont move under its own power and stalls out. after about 30-45 seconds it blows out massive smoke from under hood, and what looks like very black Thin dirty oil from the egr that is unhooked. Later I bolted the egr back together and now it wont start, it tries but no go, assuming the oil/mess from egr is going into the intake.
Codes the car shows are P20E9-85 Diesel exhaust fluid pressure too high, and several codes my snap on scanner doesnt know. 40B62H/265058 (refer to OEM repair info) and 40D17H/266495, and 238117H/232680. I cleared the codes and none came back but then again it now wont start, after a few tries it sounds like its becoming hydrolocked so I quit for today.
any ideas on where to start? could the Def blue system be at fault?
thanks

Well turns out it was much simpler then I was expecting! Turns out it was just a bad turbo! Turbo was seized and was pumping oil directly into the intake! No air would go thru at all. Someone had removed the egr so it could breath a little and start. But ended up filling the intake with oil! Cleaned it all out. Replaced the turbo and runs perfect now! Simple fix but a pain to clean all the oil out!

Great news, I wonder what one must do to seize a turbo. After such nasty choking the engine with it's own "blood" I would go to a HHO gas cleaning service

I was shocked! I am an Audi tech but not diesel! I have never seen a turbo that would not let air flow thru so I wasn’t thinking turbo at all! I did run a camera down the exhaust and was also shocked it was clean no oil at all, but I had to pull the injectors to get the oil out of the cyls. Cleaned the intake and inner cooler. So far all good!

Known problem on 2.0 Ingenium Diesels up to 2019 models with high mileage engines is a timing chain issue which tends to rattle and often times break. The new replacement part available at JLR dealer has been improved to address the issue. Otherwise, a solid engine.
