Default Nav/Tech Rebate?

Several weeks ago, I ordered my F-Pace S with the Tech Package. Should the dealer have offered me a $500 factory rebate/discount? (He did not). Thanks.

No. I expect the $500 you're thinking of is a JLR promotion on early orders. It was for either a free (basic) Nav, or $500 credit if your model already included one (such as on the "S"). The credit was netted off as part of MSRP on the sticker. You may still find some with the credit on the lot, but it no longer applies to new orders.

Meanwhile, hopefully you did negotiate and set a price/discount when you ordered your car. On early orders, many dealers wanted to take the order and only talk price at delivery. As you might expect, we haven't heard anyone say those deferred discussions got much, if any, results. If you're in the DC area, you're well-positioned around multiple dealers, some of which have stock on hand and/or are willing to deal on orders.

Thanks for your kind reply! I was able to negotiate what, I think, is a fair price on my S. I had to special order it as I wanted BRG with black interior, 22" double helix, and Touch Pro. Looking forward to taking delivery in Late September!

This is so true, and one of the only sad parts of my experience. Was clearly taken to the cleaners upon delivery, and caused a big blip in my thoughts for a while on the experience, Jaguar, F-Pace. However, I got over it, and love the car enough to be smiling from ear to ear. Good Luck, and agree on the $500.00 as described to you.

As this is now the fastest selling Jaguar, the dealers will have tightened up on deals, although I suspect they may still do something for long-standing customers, like good trade-ins. As the very first Jaguar SUV, there would have been much anxiety about how the market (you guys !!) responded to this model. Well, now we all know. Obviously in 18 months time it may be different.

Interesting as to how the "Jaguar" trade in for a Jaguar F-pace was how I was screwed royally. They need to fix this process, as it is the biggest leak for the trust between seller and buyer in general, but Jaguar dealers took advantage of this on the F-Pace dealings.
