Default Thinking of buying a used 2018 F-Pace

Hey all, I'm an F-Type owner and am a real fan of the brand. I'm thinking of complementing the fleet with a used 2018 F-Pace. Can anyone tell me if there have been significant issues with this year/model? Thanks in advance.

To answer your question, Buying a used vehicle is purely by "luck" alone because you don't know how the previous owner drove & handle the vehicle. If he/she took good care of the vehicle GOOD but if it wasn't NOT GOOD. Even Lexus, (the most reliable car brand according to JD Power) is not exempted to that as well. It too, suffers reliability issues if their vehicles weren't driven and maintained properly.

Also the past history? Did the car had accident/s? Was the car got flooded during a heavy storm? Maintenance history? If the damages occurred on the vehicle weren't reported, it will not appear on the CarFax report.

Before you make a move on your purchase, examine every detail on the car..inside and out. Ask all the questions you have & concerns to the sales rep. All of the important things or deals the sales rep tells you, have him/her put it in writing.

BTW: The car you are buying (2018 F-Pace) "if under 60K miles" is still under warranty.

Good luck!

Thanks. I get the risk in general of buying a used car. I'm more interested in general observations about the reliability of the F-Pace.

I had a '17 F Pace S for about 3 years and now a '20 F Pace SVR for about 18 months. No issues and nothing but smiles. We did get rear ended in the S at a stoplight, but after their insurance covered the repairs, all was good. There have been some reports of squeaky brakes, infotainment glitches, and some diesel engine problems. But fortunately no issues for us.

Get CPO if you can. That's the way I went with my 2017 F-Pace. No problems so far and the warranty fixed the one tiny issue I had (inoperative interior door handle)

2017 35t. Wife's car.60000 miles Utterly brilliant car,

Problems;

Heated steering wheel only heated the top half...Fixed under warranty
O2 sensors failed. Recall because anything BOSCH makes is utter crap. No cost (still under warranty, but valid for 10 years!)

Total cost to me....4 new tires $900

I'll buy another,

wombat
