When I approach the car and hit the trunk button or use the foot feature to open the trunk, I cannot close the trunk with the button on the bottom of the lid. Instead, the car double beeps at me. It is very annoying. WHy? and can I fix it

 

 

This will occur if you do not have the key in your possession. My wife (as a passenger) has had this occur because she did not have the key because I had the key in my possession as the driver. I'm not sure if this the case for you but this is a real scenario in my case.
