Hi all. Checking in with an unusual problem on a 2023 f pace SVR. The center overhead courtesy light, the rear passenger overhead lights, and the trunk area lights do not illuminate when the vehicle doors are open.

The center overhead light responds to touch (as evidenced by being able to hold for 5 secs to toggle the auto on/off function) but the light doesn't come on in either case. The map lights work but these are not supposed to illuminate when doors open anyway, so they are working normally.

The rear passenger lights will illuminate when pressed, but not when the doors open.

The trunk lights are supposed to come on any time the cargo door is open, but alas....

The other goofy thing that happened yesterday is that the left turn signal was firing at like 3x the normal rate. It went away after activating the right signal and switching back to left. Hasn't recurred.

Can't find a fuse that would control these functions. I'm guessing a bad relay somewhere.

While I'm waiting for service, seeing if anyone has any ideas.

Perhaps related, the rear view camera view is super dark at night in reverse. It's almost useless. This was not the case in a previous f pace that didn't have the LED taillights. The reverse indicators in the taillights do turn on (a white horizontal strip in each assembly), but they don't seem to put off very much light. The manual doesn't seem to have a diagram for what is supposed to light up on the back. Some things that look like additional reversing lights might just be reflectors. Can't tell.

 

Hi Nati. We have 2021 build R Dynamic S. Interior lights operate as they should. Trunk lights come on when rear door opened. Centre front overhead light, footwell lights and mid level lights come on when door opened.

However, only recently the turn indicators have started operating strangely. When waiting to turn with indicators on, they click at normal speed for about 8 clicks, then quickly for about 6-8 clicks, then normal clicks, then fast clicks. This sequence continues.

Reversing camera image seems OK but I don't do much night driving. Shall take more notice.
