I was changing the map lights out in the front upper console and decided to take a look at the rest of the interior lights to make sure they were working. I noticed that the lights in the rear didn't work when you "clicked" them on. I am talking about the pillar mounted light assembly.

The light below the "click light" comes on when the doors are opened or closed, car is unlocked with the fob, etc. That isn't a problem. It is the light on both sides that are supposed to come on when you click them...lights don't work. I changed the bulbs with known working bulbs and nothing.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to check?

 

I am talking from memory, but they only work with the key in position II, or the lights on, or something like that.
Turn-on some stuff, and you will find they will work .

 

Really? I would've thought that they would work with the car off since the front map lights do.
