I have leak in my Jaguar F-Pace transfer case. Car is currently under warranty.

However, the dealer is saying that they cannot provide warranty support as one of the tire is of different brand, even though it is same size.

After the tire was changed, I had done multi point inspection done and tires were marked as passed by the same dealer. Now they saying that they look at threads during multi point inspection and not the brand.

I am not being provided the warranty document either. Jaguar says to get it from dealer and dealer is saying it is proprietary and they cannot provide it.

 

Try inquiring to another JLR dealer, chances are you might get fixed under warranty. Here in Houston there are 4 JLR dealers.

 

Bunch of BS. Find another dealer.

But, seriously though, although it shouldn’t impact tvwarranty. Never mix different types or brand tires, especially on the same axle. They likely are claiming the car is not safe for their tech to test drive it. It’s a pass fail determination.

 

Do you have a full size spare? If so, swap that on so they are the same. Could also try another dealer. But - ask your dealer how a different brand (same size) of tyre can cause an oil leak...
