I would check on the tax issue. For out of state purchases, taxes are charged by the county the car is registered to in my experience. Not sure on leasing.

If this is a new car, driving it cross-country would be somewhat painful, if you followed the break-in recommendations.

I did it!!!! I finally pulled the trigger and they will be flying me out to California!!!!!! I haggled hard and plane ticket will be payed for! Cannot wait to take photos of the trip and post them! Thanks a lot everyone

Driving cross country to bring it home? That will be fun. Remember the breakin period so don't get too rambunctious! Enjoy and I hope you get great driving weather to really give you a chance to get to know the car.

Having driven cross country - twice - from CA to NY in an Acura NSX, I can tell you this: this is one BIG and beautiful country!

A bit late now, my advice based on personal experience would be don't have a test drive, unless you're willing to buy!
