I think the roof line on ours is more attractive. This has several styling cues of the Aston Martin, and missing a few of the F-Type's, which detracts from the looks. That said, if the F-Type weren't available, I'd be drooling over this one.

This is an Aston Martin. It's a concept car and they made only 10, for the movie.

My son told me the new Bond car was the F-Type. When I looked it up, I found this Aston Martin.

The Jaguar in the new Bond film is the C-X75. It's the "villain car." It is good to be bad after all.

The Bond baddies get good cars in SPECTRE

It does look pretty good but i liked the 1-77 better and the Vanquish has more flair. That said the Ftype has better overall lines IMHO. Now that C-X75.....sweeeet! Think its great the JLR has such a close tie to the films now (C-X75, Landrovers, and XJ's and many others over the years. It can't all be AM. Of course paid product placement is the name of the game today as clearly evidenced by Mission Impossible and the BMW festival in those films.

I loved Skyfall and it took me back to the days of Connery in tone and look. The office homage at the end was priceless. I hope the chase lives up to the hints in the trailer and that the movie at least come close to sky fall. I fret the potential for disappointment so I'm trying to manage my anticipation.

Just read in the Mirror that one of surviving DB10s is going to be auctioned off for charity. Further reading revealed: "The case for the traditional old-fashioned manual gearbox is closed because James Bond’s new Aston Martin DB10 is fitted with one.

Presumably an automatic gearbox is not man enough for 007 because if you’re licensed to kill you can certainly change gear for yourself."

Way to go 007!! A traditional driving enthusiast who foregoes paddle shifters and stirred martinis.

I was also invited to a private screening by my dealer. Have to make sure I'm off early from work and have the F-Type all clean and polished.

It was built on the V8 Vantage chassis and that is the only Aston Martin available with a manual transmission. And that production bound for the USA anyway stops as soon as the 2016's are all built out. Vantage goes away till 2018 model, then who knows if it will have a manual available, more that likely not. The unfortunate side of progress...

Only thing that looks like an F-Type to me is the door handles. Lol.

That's not to say that it isn't spectacularly beautiful. I think a certain someone on here has one on order, if I'm not correct...

The movie uses the DB10 which I understand is not going to be produced for the public. Zach05855 has a 2016 Aston Martin DB 9 GT Bond edition on order.
