Post pictures when you can. It is certainly exciting and difficult at the same time when the delivery is so close. Hopefully you will get some time with it before snow hits.

I have the Italian red and beige interior, dark gyrodyne wheels. With our current weather I'm not sure if I will get it out again before spring, however I had a great summer with it.
Lawrence.

Living most of the time in Maine...I hear ya!

(Also squeezing in as many driving days as I can, weather permitting).

Good luck on the car.

I say this every winter... I feel bad for you northern guys having to garage your cars. I couldn't imagine not being able to drive with the top down 365.

In Florida? We had a vacation property on the Gulf Coast, and it seemed like it rained 200 days out of 365.

Lawrence, yesterday was a beautiful day. I got a nice run in. 200 km or so. I think that might be the last one though by the look of the forecast.

Actually I took a spin this afternoon in spite of the temp. being just below freezing.. not much grip, but still ok with no snow. This is one car I am really going to miss driving over the next few months.

Sweet! The big question is when will you get the Project 7?

Looks like sometime next summer, according to reports the UK customers will get theirs first, starting around May then North America. Hopefully sometime during the middle of summer mine will show up.

They still have not opened the options list yet for Canada, so to date other than my deposit and a dealer invoice. that's about all I know.

I read somewhere that if you wait by the window and hope that any moving thing you see from a distance, is the Jaguar being delivered, then it makes the time go faster. Either that or it drives you crazy. One of those.

I have been waiting so long for the car, I actually wake up at night from dreaming about it. If all goes to plan, (it usually does not) I should have my car 1 week from today.

But I think my car is on the Elektra which is due to dock in Halifax on the 19th. If that is the case then it will be a few more days to go.

You know you truly love a car and can't wait to get it when you start dreaming of it! Same story over hear lol, couple nights Ive woken up from that pleasantry.

Good luck on your order(s)! Can't wait to see pics of both this and the Project 7!

Project 7 will be a long, long wait. This one will be more difficult,Many more nights of dreams, at least the F Type will give me a taste of things to come.

Strange how the mind works and dreaming about an upcoming pleasant event - the arrival of a new car definitely qualifies - in whatever shape or form, is quite natural and normal (others might disagree).

Especially if you're a gear head. Or about to be the owner/lessee of a Jaguar F-Type.

Can't tell you how many nights my wife and I would be sitting in bed (both before I got the car and after) her reading something or other and me watching, and re-watching, one video clip or another. Usually it came down to three: Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson (X-rated hard core monster for the terminally unhinged), Car Throttle (Best V6 sound in history), and last but not certainly not least, the original 2 minute Jaguar Super Bowl "Villian" commercial (Oh yes, it's good to be bad).

Ive watched the full Top Gear episode at least 5 times now and the clip 2x. I listened to the car throttles video (and still want that crazy V8 sound more lol). I love the review TG gave the F-Type.

The thing Jeremy points out is a firm ride being to jolty. I like that. It means that this car is more for the hard core, more for those that want a badass ride. It shys away from the stereotypically thought of Jag owner crowd of Golf clubs and badmitten (not saying there is anything wrong with either of those). Its the new face of a company that generally doesn't appeal to someone like me. Prior to the F-Type, how many sub 25 yo guys (esp in America) wanted a Jag? There just wasn't that appeal. It means they are willing to evolve, and the F-Type is the crown of the evolution.

Sorry for the thread jack /rant over

Thing is, much as I love Top Gear (and all three blokes, in spite of hearing from people who personally know Jeremy that's he's...well...not the nicest person in the world, to put it nicely) and the piece he did - love "the weekly shop" - I think he's overstating how rough the ride is at slow speeds (and, yes, I agree: don't drive slow....drive fast!). I have found the ride at slow speeds to be firm, but not rough.

My 2-cents.

This sounds like life at our house. Funny how they don't appreciate the sound of our cars from a Youtube video while they're trying to sleep....
