Hi Zach. I see the Ford GT in the background of this shot. By chance, have you had this worked on at Sean Hyland's in Woodstock, On? I was there one day and saw a grey GT and he said it was from the west. That's who did the Super Snake work on my Shelby. He's a certified Shelby Mod shop.
Just wondering.........
Don

By the way, the E-Type is gorgeous!

Sorry, that was not mine. My GT is purely stock, no mods.

Some of my cars were featured on this web site. You can see more of the E type here

Also featured is the GT and my McLaren. They want to come back and feature the rest of my cars next year

Finally, my car is due to arrive today at the dealer, so will be a Monday or Tuesday pick up. Monday forecast is rain and 50's, Tuesday is sunny and high 40's .. looks like my window of opportunity is good because after that the weather tanks with below freezing and snow.

Hope I can get some sleep, this is going to be a very very long weekend.

My car is missing in action. It was suppose to arrive at the dealer yesterday but never showed up. Dealer has no information as to its location.

Should I be getting worried????

Get one of those famous Canadian cops on the case.the ones that rude horses, wear a red jacket and that big tan hat. They'll get to the bottom of this.

This happened to me once with a BMW. I found out the trucking company was called Wagonners trucking so I called their dispatched and figured out that they hadn't loaded it. Then I harassed them till they loaded it.

Funny . . . as I experienced a similar situation when I was waiting for delivery of one of the first C6 Z06s that I custom-ordered. It was scheduled for delivery right before Thanksgiving in '05, but went missing after it was turned over to the trucking company and didn't arrive the day or so before the holiday as scheduled.

After some detective work, and inquiring with the trucking company, I learned that the driver loaded it, and then went home (with a truck load of Corvettes) for the holiday weekend. It arrived the next week, and fortunately, only had 2 miles on the odometer.

I would guess the weather is the issue.. I'm in central Ontario and its been fairly bad for this time of year.. snow and high winds. If they are shipping from Halifax across the lake head, the truck might have parked for a day or so. ?

Ooops .. just noticed that you are taking delivery in Montreal... so forget the lake head, could still be weather though.

BMW used CN Rail to pickup cars and deliver them across Canada to local depots, then a local auto trucker would deliver to the dealer. For my 3 BMWs this was the case -- rail from Halifax to Concord, Ont and then down to Toronto. The railcars are those protected ones that you see and are more secure than the open car carriers for a long distance. Probably cheaper by rail too.

I will be brushing up on all this next year again for Jaguar.

That is my fear that the car ended up on the wrong rail car and is now headed to Vancouver. Currently it is MIA..

Find someone with a CN Rail account and get them to track the VIN.

Sometimes, if you say pretty please, the right CN person might look it up for you. I remember someone doing that for me once.

I now find out my car is in a " Port Recall" I knew some type R's were being held in Southampton for a port recall due to Torque specs but now I find that my car is somewhere in Canada for a port recall.

I'm very disappointed.

Sorry to hear this ... it will be interesting to find out exactly what the recall is about.

I used to live near Airdrie, Alberta which I believe is close to you, and although we didn't usually get a whole lot of snow, the roads dept. used a lot of sand and grit due to the extreme cold so not good to drive these sort of cars.

Mine is now put away for the winter .. unless of course we get a good long warm spell.

Dealer just called to tell me that my car is still at the port. So my car has been sitting at the port in Halifax for the past 3 weeks.

JLR says they will prioritize it now, and will provide me with a release date tomorrow.

So now it is guaranteed that I will not see my car until middle of December.

I could not be more #$%^&%$ off.

If this means you won't drive your car until April then I would refused delivery and get a 2016 instead. Someone here said those deliver in April.

From an economic standpoint that would make more sense.

I still haven't been able to track mine. Delivery still says dec 5th by the dealer but that is all the info they said they have. Since I'm flying to pick it up I sure hope everything goes to plan. Getting nervous though with all of these delays other people are having.
