Mine indeed was an exciting piece of crap. It would pop out of third gear at the most inopportune moments, a driveshaft universal blew out on me at 100mph tearing out the tail shaft from the transmission, plus , the nylon teeth would strip off the metal core timing gear every time it got down to 0 degrees(F).

 

It would do 100mph? A friend's consumed a quart of oil every 500 miles, as I recall. Maybe it used the oil as an octane reducer...

 

106 to be exact, and yes, 1qt every 500 miles (at least).
