Hi all,

My 2014 V8S is 6 years old and has just under 40k for miles. The maintenance schedules says to change the belt at 6 years or 60k whichever comes first?
Has any one done this and is it needed at these miles? If you have had it done what did it cost?

I am having my brake fluid and Diff fluid changed in early July and was wondering if I should just have the belt changed as well?

The belts should be good to 80-100k. Replacing at 60k is not excessively early. I have only replaced the front belt (supercharger) and can report that it’s a very simple job. With that belt removed, I can’t imagine that the accessory belt is any more difficult to replace.

 

I was wondering the same thing as mine only has a little over 20k miles. Age wise I was worried, but I inspected the belt for cracks, tears, and dry rotting and it appears fine.

 

Ive recommended as per 6yr/96K or if there's any cracking. I rather go with mileage than time unless issues seen. The acc belt is kind of a bitch. Need to take bracket off to remove belt.

 

I can say that with the V8 those belts are tough to see without taking apart the engine bay!
