2017 Base 20,000 mile report
There has been some discussion about F-Type reliability, so I thought I'd add a data point.
2017 Base purchased online 14 Oct 2016 for $57k (local dealer wanted $72k).
Added front and rear cameras, Ceramic Pro coating, and VAP Stage 1 (416 hp with 7100 redline) tune.
Replaced 15k mile Contis with Hangkook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires. Better ride, feel and grip.
Maintenance: three oil changes under warranty.
Repairs: None.
Caution lights - one. Solution - tightened gas cap.
Rock chips: 4.
I use a car wash (blasphemy!! but I'm old and lazy), and the finish is still flawless. Thanks, Ceramic Pro!
It may be a unicorn, but mine has been flawless. I got the good stereo from the start, and nothing has gone wrong. The traction control doesn't work as I expect it to (I can get the tires spinning so much in the wet that I get wheel hop - with DSC full on), but that's all.
It still looks and sounds good, and pulls hard. Yeah, its a little tail happy...

I have been wanting to add a front/back camera to my F-Type that is fully integrated with the OEM system. Did you use NAV-TV: https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT74...pe-cam-16.html with this reverse camera: https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT562/camera-10.html? Could you link me the camera you bought for the front?
I don't live near any big TX cities like SA/HOU/DFW that have shops that have done this before on an F-Type, do you think a decent audio/custom shop would be able to handle this kinda install with only having the installation manual that NAV-TV provides? Also, how much was it total for you (parts + labor)?
Thanks in advance man.
