2017 Jaguar Lobster Run???
For those interested, here are my pix from last year. Note that some of us met at F-40 Motorsports and met Wayne Carini and Roger. Good times!

[The pix are out of order, as I used two different cameras - one produces DSC... filenames and the other IMG... Don't see how to sort based on date, not name.]

Great pics guys, thanks.
Stickers, duffle bags, t shirts ....great job!
Being the sole Canadian at this point is there anything I can bring? Canadian bacon? Maple syrup? A more stable political environment?

2) We don't have duffle bags. Scarborough Jaguar/Land Rover took my design and had that embossed on very nice duffle bags indeed. I'm not at liberty to say more - and there might not be anything more to say - but I know they are footing the bill for lunch at The Black Point Inn (and having eaten there today - and it was quite good; my shrimp and corn bisque was outstanding! - I can tell you it ain't cheap). But oh what views. Oh yeah, they are also providing breakfast - after a visit to Portland Head Light - at their dealership which is usually closed on Sundays.
3) We don't have T-Shirts. We - I - have the design for the shirts but no "sponsor" (i.e. someone to pay for them). Yet. It is still my hope to find someone; preferably someone at Continental Tire who foot the bill last year. The graphics are all done and all I would want to do is change all the colors around. That and change 2016 to 2017, stating the obvious. Worst comes to worse and if we really want them, I can arrange for us to pay our own with the design firm we used last year (the cost came out, roughly, $25 per shirt. Not cheap but, like I've said, it's a nice shirt). I still have time and still have a few feelers out.
4) I love Canadian bacon. I love Maple Syrup (Zach and Lisa provided me with some Canadian Maple Syrup - in a can - and we loved it). I love, and have loved, several Canadians (and that's all I'll say about that). I won't touch your last comment with a 10-foot pole. Make that a 100-foot pole. Just your coming is enough for me. I ask for nothing other than your presence.
5) What you should bring - and this probably goes for the rest of you - are a pair of comfortable walking shoes (for the walk to and from the Winslow Homer Studio on Prouts Neck on Friday Oct 6, and for the walk up, and down, 89 steps at Portland Head Light on Sunday Oct 8. Not sure what the weather will be but that time of the year is usually pretty spectacular. Needless to say have something in case it's a bit chilly.

In the coming days I will try to compile what shall serve as a pretty thorough itinerary (although thorough doesn't necessarily mean final). In any event - this one - I have the following question:
While our days will be long, they should also be quite fun. I fully realize - especially after the great distances most of you will be coming - that we can't exactly go around the clock (well, some of us might). Here's the question:
After we have an amazing lunch at Red's Eats [big smile] - and I will have more to say about all the places we visit, and eat in another post - at around 1:00 or so on Saturday Oct 7, we have the option of driving straight back into Portland (dinner is at 8:00) OR, my idea is to drive through Brunswick (where I live; and we drive through Brunswick no matter what), drive slowly past Bowdoin College, drive a splendid back road from Brunswick to Freeport (we drive through Freeport no matter what) and pay a visit to iconic L.L. Bean (and possibly see my friend, the President and CEO*. And I don't have a clue whether he's around or not). We should even have enough time to shop...if you're interested (L.L. Bean ships for free).
Totally up to you. I've texted my friend that I will see what if any interest there is here and get back to him.
*I didn't ask but my friend had one of L.L. Bean's iconic tote bags embroidered (with our design) and provided each of us with one last year. It was, needless to say, a lovely and generous touch. I do not expect the same this year but...you never know.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Katahdin
Knife Edge:
The most famous hike to the summit goes along Knife Edge, which traverses the ridge between Pamola Peak and Baxter Peak. The mountain has claimed 23 lives since 1963,[17] mostly from exposure in bad weather and falls from the Knife Edge. For about 3/10 of a mile the trail is 3 feet wide, with a drop off on either side. The Knife Edge is closed during periods of high wind. [not always].
Getting out on the water is also a splendid idea - and my lobstering friend offered to take us - but I don't own a boat and that too is too time consuming.
I like your attitude Fjmviper. You might be a bit fatigued by the time I'm done with you but it should be an enjoyable and memorable experience. At least that's my intent.
[re] Shirts. I agree. Having one to "mark the event" would be nice - and, as I've said, many of us wear the one from 2016 often. Let's see what happens in the next week or so and we have until the end of August in order to have them in time.

Jay asked for some technical assistance posting the proposed agenda (he's busy, you know, with eating/driving/etc). Haven't found an easy way to get everything into an inline post, so for now, here's a PDF...

Oh, and about that eating/driving...not at the same time.
Thank you Dave for your valued assistance. The PDF should spell and illustrate things nicely for those attending and for those thinking of attending. Cut-off for signing up - not that there's any formal sign-up at all - is end of Aug.
Last but not least, all times on the itinerary are subject to change - but probably not by much - as might the venue (although I'm pretty confident we're good to go).
Unless you have any questions or comments (in which case you should address them to DJS
)...

In which case I'll give you Jay's phone #, address, license plate #, shoe size...
