Default 2017 SVR - Drag raced at Wild Horse Pass Raceway

Finally took the SVR and my motorcycle to the drag strip with a few friends. Few pic's and vids below. They had the 720s, modded GT-R, the Demon and the 911 Turbo S (seen only in second video).

I knew I would run consistent times based on the info I gathered from the guys on this forum beforehand. My best run was an 11.46 @ 122.22mph and best 60ft was 1.733.
I ran about 10 to 12 times. Every other run was an 11.5 ranging from 119mph to 123+mph as the highest trap.
(The best on my bike was 10.5 @ 144+mph..user error clearly as I've seen it run in the high 9s.

Short vid against a 2018 modded Mustang GT 2018 with 5.0L Coyote and 10 speed)

At 4.40 I run against the Demon. Had to get the jump on him...Jag hung in there real well! (Demon's best run was 10.02)

Fun times!

Pretty much spot on for an SVR.

Considering the VAP tune only but not sure I want to mess with such a good thing. Unless of courses others on here convince me that its worth it and the SVR's characteristics remain the same, just faster?!

Technically an SVR (stock) should pull 11.2 at 124-126Mph.
Stock 2017 F-Type R (AWD) is 11.5 at 120Mph

With all variables being perfect, sure....but they rarely are. (I could use a new set of tires. Just over 5k on the Pirelli's, and all 5k miles were canyon carving so very worn.)

I must have 20 passes on my car now, after a lot of experimentation for me best results from from:

Dynamic mode: But set the suspension & gearbox to normal
Enable VMAX mode: Hold spoiler button down
Traction: TOTALLY OFF, hold button for several seconds
Gearbox: Put it in S but then manually select S1

Technique: Do not hold it at any RPM, literally left foot brake, then when light go green, off brake and stomp the gas.

This has yielded my PB of 11.1s and some 11.2s runs, without doing the above I was running 11.3-11.5s range, so getting the car setup spot on certainly helps with knocking a couple more tenths of the times.

Gearbox: So, you have selected S1 to take off. After you take off do you manually paddle your way down the drag strip? I though I had read elsewhere to let the car shift on its own ….
