Default 2020MY ordered!

I'm in my third year of F type ownership with a lease on a 2017 V6S coming to an end in the spring. The car like any other has its pluses and minuses, but I've decided I'm not ready to leave the party!

Ordered a 2020 R Coupe in Ultra Blue with black pack. Looking forward to the V8 after having a blast with the V6 for a few years.

The hardest pill to swallow was giving up my Italian Racing Red. It was, in my opinion, the perfect color for this car. The only other available red in 2020 is the non metallic Caldera, and that just isn't my shade of red. The ultra blue was the only other color choice with any sort of pop, and I do prefer bright colors on sports cars. Hoping I come to love it as much as the IRR.

You going to buy it and keep it, or just lease again?

When do you take delivery? Is there a configurator on the net to spec a car out? I ask because I'm thinking about my next Jag. I appreciate the assistance.

Don't know yet. Might lease anyway just to see if something else has my attention in another three years.

Either way plenty of time for a few drives to the North Atlantic.

Configuration website probably won't be updated for months, but your dealer should be able to send you the 2020 order guide. That's what I used.

This is awesome, I remember when I put in my order for the 2019.5, now the long wait begins, that's what we are all here for, and it's totally worth the wait. After having gone through the process and now enjoying the car, there is nothing else I could have wanted!

Congrats!!!
Ultra Blue really looks amazing!!
My best friend ordered an F-Pace SVR and the decided last minute not to get the Ultra Blue but I told him that was a HUGE mistake

Certainly thought about it, but in 2020 the R is getting suspension components from the SVR. They are even closer to being the same car than they already were. I certainly couldn't justify the $20k difference for what amounts to 25hp and a body kit.

Nati, Congrats! Look forward to see your newest Jag in person some day! The IRR was a looker.

Thanks for that.
Just read through it and it's not real clear if a manual trans is still offered.
It says absolutely nothing about the transmission at all let alone listing the manual trans as an option, but on page 72 under performance stats for the V6 models there are a couple of mentions of "manual trans".
That could mean that a manual trans is still offered, or it could just be typical JLR poor proofreading where they have copied a page from the earlier brochure and forgotten to update it.
And yet again it's shown as a UK brochure but all the pics are of LHD cars, surely they could use RHD cars for a RHD market!

The 6MT is officially gone in 2020. Order guide attached.

Sad to see the manual trans has carked it, maybe it will rise from the grave in a few years' time but I doubt it.
So it was per my second thought, someone stuffed up with the MY2020 brochure and kept the manual trans performance specs in it.

My dealer couldn't order me new MT in the fall 2018, and for some years they didn't make MT S. So my MT S turned out to be rarer than hen's teeth.

At least if my F-type get wrecked I know where to go "midnight shopping" for replacement. Green is rather nice color, I can see myself driving one.

I see a reciprocal opportunity for replacement.

I think all Jag brochure are the same. The biggest market is for the wrong side of the road.
Too expensive for two brochures.
