Sorry I’m late to the party but I just got my FY21 car and I’m interested in pulling the fuse. The car is basically silent until 3500 RPM and I’m much more interested in having a lively experience. Isnt fuse 15 located in the fuse box on the driver’s side of the engine bay under the hood/bonnet? (My car is a left hand drive car)

That is correct. It's a 5A fuse. When you take the splash panel off to access the fuse box (and put it back on) be careful not to drop the trim piece screws down in the gaps by the engine or you'll never see them again.

Yeah, just raise the clip centers UP about 1/4" then pull the ENTIRE clip assembly up & out.

I lost one and waited 4 months for JLR to get me a replacement before realizing I could purchase a set for $5 on Ebay.
They are used across the JLR range - just make sure you get the correct diameter.

Regarding F15 - don't you get the same raucous behaviour in dynamic mode?
I am totally going to try this on my 2022 F Type R roadster. Thanks !

Sorry to resurrect this post...or am I

I just did this with my 2021 F-Type R. It makes an enormous difference. Its akin to buying a completely new exhaust. I can tell you, it is absolutely not the same as turning on the active exhaust or putting it into dynamic mode. It'll pop from 1500rpm. It sounds just as good going 15mph as going 100mph now. I just wonder if it'll cause any possible issues. Not sure how it can, as the active exhaust is after the cats and mufflers so its really just open at the end now, I believe. God I love this car.

However, I think the simulated exhaust from the sound system is disabled with the removal of the fuse. The exhaust sounds less....deep. Still reasonably deep, but Cgo's charactarization of "raucous" is apt. There's a little less baritone (I suspect due to the Meridian system not injecting deep baritone sound anymore), but more overall volume and raspy growl with the pops and burbles when you're on your way down from 3500 rpm.
It does not contain fake sound. It has an active exhaust. I cant speak for the 23 onwards, but prior has no fake speaker engine noise.

Well, in addition to the active exhaust, prior to '21 the cars had the symposer which injected exhaust noise into the cabin. That's not fake noise, but it is artificially amplified in the cabin. This can be readily defeated and has been done so by many members here.

From '21 and on (facelift cars), the symposer was replaced with the electronic NGPTSQ system, which *is* injecting fake exhaust noise into the cabin through the speakers and (to date) cannot be defeated. From Jaguar:

DID YOU KNOW ALL NEW JAGUAR VEHICLES ARE ENGINEERED TO SOUND AS GOOD AS THEY LOOK?
That’s because they are fitted with Next Generation Power Train Sound Quality (NGPTSQ) to electronically enhance existing sound and deliver a more rewarding driving experience.
By using data feeds for engine speed and gear selection, the system carefully constructs a non-intrusive digital audio enhancement, which is played through the audio system.
The sound will be imperceptible as an overlay and will be audible through the speakers even if the customer has the audio system turned off.
The result is a JLR vehicle with effortless power delivery enhanced by an engaging sound quality that builds to an acoustic reward consistent with the vehicle’s performance.
