Default 2022 F-Type R is the best F-type ever made?

I think so since the 2022 R is essentially an SVR for at least $20,000 less and a better dash, suspension, front front air cooling and a more modern look such that people don’t even know what it is. Thoughts?

Everyone's idea of "best" is different! That's what makes life interesting.

I think the MY14 is the best because the original is still a thing of beauty and I've had 9 years of joy in the meantime. Cheers!

About not knowing what it is, it would be pretty easy to rankle the owner by asking "So what did this new Miata run you, about $30K?"

The BEST F-Type is the one you are presently enjoying!

Just sayin'.

The best was 2018, which looked better and sounded better. This is in no way influenced by the fact that I have a 2018.

For unmodded cars my vote would go to the RWD 400, best handling/power balance of all I've driven (caveat, I havent driven the new R or the SVR) and I like the fancy additions. But then the 400 is edged out in fun to the 6 with pulley and tune, with that you can pretty much steer through the rear wheels.

oh please, not a thread like this? I've seen questions and comments like this one on the Mustang and Corvette forums, but never expected to see it on a Jaguar forum. OK, I'll play along...
the year isn't a factor, which color is faster?

Oops, maybe we're on Facebook...............

Yep sure. Your car is the best out of everyone's, one of a kind. Amazing. Probably will be a bidding war if you sell it. I'm embarassed by my 15R. Congrats!

I have to say, the new shape with the blue and black pack is a fantastic looking car, it would be my pick of colours if I was looking at the new one. Very exotic looking with all of the LEDs going. When I first saw one I didnt know what it was, but it looked exclusive.

My 2014 is the best because it is my first F-Type.

Yes, the 1998 Cobra is the best looking Mustang and the best looking corvette is the last year they had round tail lights!

That would never happen, but if it did, just say yes because he could be a car thief and nobody steals Miatas.

Price is a factor. I had a chance to buy the last NEW SVR convertible from the a dealer who had it for 2 years with 600 miles and with the nearly $30,000 discount; it still cost more than a 2022 R! They let it sit outside during the winter in Illinois so the looked like is was sand blasted in area and it had RUST on the rear frame! They refused to fix any of it.

Don't diss the Miatas! I watch the Porsches, Vettes, etc blow past on the front straight at Autoclub Speedway, but then I repass them going 15 or 20 MPH faster around turn 2 still on the banking pulling 1.5 g's and outbrake them into turn 3. Lowered, Xida Race shocks, Eibach springs, race alignment, on Hankook Ventu RS4 street tires.
