Default 2024 F-Types

When does JLR intend to stop building F-Types?
Are they building for MY2024?
And if so, is it likely that a 2024 could actually be ordered through calendar 2024 (before they run out of parts!) ?
If I decide to get another I would prefer to buy as late as possible.

I think the Jaguar MY begins early in the previous calendar year (my MY18 was built in March 2017) so I'd expect the MY24 production run would end early next year.

NZ (and AU) prices are around three times that!

Ordered my 2024 R-Dynamic Jan 16 2023 and picked up from dealer June 6. Finding a build slot from a Jag dealer will be your problem...

Good luck
Jim

Was looking at some photos of the 2024 F-Type from dealerships around the country and I noticed that none of them come with the F-TYPE badge on the rear. And I'm aware that there are owners who like to debage and will celebrate the cleaner look but I found it a little odd that Jaguar would remove such an iconic symbol of their branding. The minuscule 575 (or is it P575) badge on the side is kind of useless from a visual standpoint and if Jaguar is going for the naked look why even put an R badge on the back?

I asked one dealer about allocation, and there's reportedly no more '24 allocation; just what is in the pipeline. But maybe others can chime in, and either confirm or refute that. But since no way I'd pay MSRP for this car now, I'd probably have to settle for an inventory car that might or might not be close to my spec. And I REALLY want the surround stereo, and for what I read no '24s have it, so would have to find a '23. Or even a pristine used one, which I've never done, but there's always a first time. Ha ha. We'll see. I need to drive one first, so working on that as the first step.

So what you just said may be true in the US market. In the CND market the allocations have literally just started rolling out now if you can believe it. I have had a deposit down for an allocation for what seems like forever. They really delayed it up here apparently due to too many 2023s being on the ground in Canada. Covid logistics caused all the dealer orders to come in all at once delayed or something, and then this apparently messed up the flow of their inventory. It would seem Jaguar Canada delayed release of the 2024 allocations in an attempt to help the dealers clear through some of that inventory, not get stuck with too many cars, etc...

The dealer did tell me, however, that they are not sure any longer whether they will receive the number of allocations they originally thought they would get. Not sure if that was a pressure tactic or not, but they're suggesting that is likely to be the case.

MERIDIAN SURROUND:

I too was wanting the Meridian surround, and I was being told that they were not available....Up until now that is...It looks like I might have just lucked out and will be able to spec my allocation with the surround version...It would seem it just so happens that it is coming off constraint timed with my build. That's what I've been told...The sales guy was able to select it in his system (before he could not)

I think yer right though...up to this point no 2024s had that as an option.

I don't know, I wasn't that phased either way...The purchase would have happened either way. The way people generally talk about Meridian not being that great, I'm questioning how much better the upgraded system is anyway. I'll still tick the box, but yeah...I'm really not much of an audio geek or anything, but I do appreciate a good stereo...

MSRP:

As for your suggestion you won't pay MSRP. I don't know, these cars are rare and special and will get more so...Up here we aren't dealing with the craziness the US does with markup over MSRP (illegal for dealers to do so where I am), but I can tell you there are basically no discounts off of MSRP to be had up here in this market in general (worth speaking of anyway). That's the vibe I have. I managed to negotiate something small, but its not really doing much for me...lol...Once they get all their BS fees on there etc it is what it is...To make matters worse we have the Trudeau luxury rape tax to contend with as well, and then the government charges tax on top of that tax...Pretty brutal...

Good luck in your search. There's not a ton of options out there these days depending on your interests and budget. At least I find that to be the case for me, so the F-type R is looking to be the one for me.

There are 584 F-Types, MY 23-24, for sale at Jaguar dealers in the USA. So, no shortages and lots of choices........

Sure, lots of choices...

If you're looking for black (157 choices), white (120 choices), or grey (93 choices).

But if those colors don't interest you, you've just eliminated 370 of those 584 vehicles.

And if you want something a little out of the ordinary, say Atacama Orange, Sanguinello Orange, or Sorrento Yellow, there is exactly one vehicle of each available.

So, it is take it or leave it.

Not much different from other manufacturers. Unless you special order a car, what you most likely have a choice of is white, black or grey. That these are mostly ' no cost colors' is not lost to many folks.

My Glacier (aka Yulong) White wasn't a no cost option.

Exactly. There's no Meridian Surround on ANY '24, so it has to be the former.

Well, not if you're only looking for a RWD Coupe, which brings that total to less than 50. And then add no black exterior, only full extended tan/ebony interior, heated/cooled seats, and Meridian Surround, yield the grand total of ZERO. Ha ha. Hopefully later '24s have the surround, like in Canada. We'll see. Not in a hurry to buy, so will wait until the end of the year, where great deals are more likely to happen.

It is possible to get Meridian Surround on 2024 models if you are willing to wait and can influence dealer to work with the headquarters.
My 2024 F type R 75 has Meridian Surround

I just purchased a 2024 F Type R 75, it has a Meridian system however the sound quality is poor and there is no option for changing the sound dynamics.
I traded in my 2021 F Type R convertible and the sound system was superior and had the options for changing the dynamics, surround, stereo, dolby, etc.
Anyone out there have a clue to what is going on?
