Default 23rd Annual British Motorcar Gathering

In Hellertown, Pa today. I was going as a spectator but registered when they asked me for $15. 200 vintage British cars/voters with my car and one other F Type R a company car driven by a Jaguar USA member of management. We were the only 2 current cars at the show.

I had a lot of people come up to look but more importantly to ask lots of questions. There were over 20 groups to be voted with recognition to the top 3 vote getters. We were in Jaguar Other with a total of 7 cars.. My F-TYPE took 3rd place to my surprise. Yes a small group but still a number greater than 3 so I'll take it!

One of the club members came up to offer congrats but even more so to say he was pleased that the exhibitors voted for a new F Type over vintage Jaguars. He said it speaks a lot about the reception of the F Type by these traditionalist car people.

Btw, the R was behind me the whole back roads hour drive with his windows down. When we got to the show, he said your exhaust sounds great! Nice to have the manual transmission and dynamic mode!!

Nice! Their is one next week in my area that is European focused. Car shows always a good time if a good representation of vehicles attends.

What kind of questions did you get?

Questions about the different models mostly hp/ engine related. Lot of comments about the 6 SPD manual which is not surprising given the large number of manuals in the vintage cars and how much fun it must be to drive on the back roads. A fair amount about liking the color but that's really personal preference. Lots of pictures but these are car people.

I have to admit I enjoyed seeing all the British vintage cars all in one place. Looking forward to going again.

Very nice Gsp... Congrats on the high finish on a last minute entry... Gotta love when that type of thing happens.
