Default s-type 12 hour clock issue

Twice a year (Fall & Spring) for the last 11 years I've set the clock w/o a problem. Since 3/26/16 the start of daylight savings, I've been unable to bypass the 24 hour clock and set the 12 hour clock on my 2002 s-type Jag. No trouble setting hour + minutes, but there no longer is "12 hour clock" on the menu. Any suggestions?????

Thanks in advance.

Clock is operated manually by tapping "menu" until you come to "adjust clock." Hour flashes until hour set, then minutes flash until minutes are set. Next one is supposed to go back to "menu" to tap either 24 hour clock or 12 hour clock. The 12-hour no longer appears.

Thumbs down S-type clock issue

Do you mean there's no one on this Jaguar Forum who can tell me how to fix clock from 24 hour to 12 hour? Could it be a fuse? Computer? I've had the car for 11 years and twice a year (spring & fall) had no trouble.

Again this is a 2002 s-type. Thanks.

Can you follow the manual instructions or does this not work?

Those are the exact directions I have tried, but still can't get 12 hour clock to set. Maybe I'm just dealing with another temperamental computer.

Or maybe it's time to get rid of the Jaguar. It only has 70K miles on it.

Maybe try a hard reset and see if that helps.

Disconnect the negative terminal and hold the negative and positive together for a couple of minutes. This allows all capacitors to discharge and reset all systems.

You'll have some other things to reset afterwards, radio presets, one touch windows etc.

I wouldn't know where to fond or how to disconnect the negative terminal, tweak it to the positive terminal. No problem to reset one radio station, and I don't know what one touch windows are. Again, maybe it's time to sell the 2002 Jaguar with 70K original miles. I will entertain all offers.

Thanks.

FYI ... I bought the Jag to accommodate my Standard Poodles. Also bought them a house.

I'm also selling my remodeled Palm Desert house. Maybe I should make it a package deal.

Why don't you get your butler or chauffeur to stop into the nearest Jag dealer? The nice service adviser servant might set the clock for you....for free.

Cool

Thanks for all the useless suggestions. Don't anyone give up your day jobs to audition for comedy.

Given your snotty comments up above, accompanied by a thumbs down icon, I'd hazard a guess that the offers you get might be quite rude.

If the potential fix suggested above is just too much work, please do the car a favour and sell it. Maybe it will find a nice home.

Speaking of "snotty" comments. You win Mikey!

My Jag is probably better maintained than most of the ones here. I ask questions on the forum, so that I know which repair place to take the vehicle. Apparently no one on this forum has had a problem with setting the 12-hour clock, so an "I don't know" would have been preferable.

I'm sure I will have no trouble selling the 14 year old, low mileage Jag with clean title.

Apparently no one has had the problem, but I did try to help, should I have just ignored you, and as for snotty, asking for advice and then turning your nose up when you don't like or understand the suggestions given is the winner for me.

If all else fails, pay a jag dealer.
