I understand they do a good job of it, but nowhere close to the same effect and not as satisfying.

 

from my <1 week experience with the 6spd, the sweet spot to generate the pops and cracks is at 3,500 RPM in either 1st or 2nd gear. I get up to that RPM and lay off the throttle (or shift from 1-2nd) and get some sweeeet sounding noises. Probably not nearly as much as the AT but good enough for me.

I'm afraid to push the RPM too high at this break in stage but I'm more than satisfied with the noises generated by the 6spd.
