accessing emergency release on a 2017 R convertible
has anyone come up with a way to access the emergency ripcord in the trunk in case of a dead battery? I know that you can jump from under the hood, but what if the car is locked with fob inside, key in the trunk, whatever, that precludes access under the hood.
I read somewhere on the coupe there was a way to run a line into the interior from the emergency release to the interior of the car.

Some people have run a trickle charger through the front bumper to the jump points. This allows you to hook up a charger/jump box from the outside and never have to lift the hood. As for running a line into the interior of the car that still won't do you any good if you can't get into the car. The best way is to make sure BOTH of your keys aren't in the car so that you can use the Hard key to unlock the door. I've personally never understood how your car can be dead with the keys in it?
Under the rear bumper on the right side is a vent. If you remove the vent on the right side you can reach the emergency handle. The bumper is going to be the hard part, there is one bolt in the trunk (top centre). Reach out with your right arm.
Vent
You have to remove the right side, not the left one as in the picture.
