What is causing this, it has shut down the whole car, it will not start. Trunk will not open, but all doors are unlocked. Is there any way to open the trunk, I have tried the remote, the key in the trunk and it will not open??? I have made sure the hood is shut good. This is not a convertible, so I'm assuming the hood is the engine compartment cover lid.

 

don't have a direct answer for this....but it sounds like security module lock up/problem.try disconnecting neg. terminal on battery and than re-connect....this reset may allow you to get control over the car....

 

If the remote doesn't operate the trunk release, try the dash button. If that fails as well, use the key to manually open the trunk. You should find a small hole near the latching lever. At least you can reach the battery this way! Try the disconnect/reconnect idea. Works wonders!

 

Something wrong here. US specs cars do NOT have the alarm hood switch, therefor a open or close hood would make no difference
