I tried searching and didn't come up with anything useful.

I called Sirius and activated the radio in my 16 I just bought.
I have Sirius in all my other vehicles.

It will not activate on the car radio.

I contacted Sirius and they sent a rest, still no go.

They told me to tune into channel 1, and try again. Problem is, I can't tune into any channel, I only get the error screen "not activated" or some such, when I hit the Sat button.

Anyone have any suggestions or experience with this?

And telling me to not use Sirius is not helpful.

When I bought my 2015 recently, Sirius started bombarding me with emails and even snail mail, so they know who have the cars whether you use their service or not. I've yet to feel the need for it and didn't take the bait.

 

I found the audio quality of SiriusXM on my 380W mediocre Meridian to be not very good. I dropped it after a few years.

 

For anyone who wanted to give Sirius a try they turn on everyone's radio for free for two weeks around Memorial Day and again around Labor Day. They have been doing that for years.

 

I have it on my E Pace and use the app for the F Type instead of paying more for the second car. I also tell them I won’t renew each year since I really don’t use it much which is true snd that cut the fee significantly to get me renew.

 

I'm just old, lazy and set in my ways. I listen to about 5 channels, but I listen to them in all my vehicles. Definitely be cheaper to go streaming route, but easier to just have all the radios hooked up.

I did see somethign that was mentioned in some of the threads I found, and that is the song title isn't displayed on the infotainment screen. Odd choice, but w/e.

 

I had the same issue, then I found that the stereo had its own audio controls for Sirius. I set them the same way I did the rest of the car (basically, nothing out of the back) and it sounded fine, then.

 

BUT...something we DO have, at least on the '16 is the ability to save groups or specific song titles and it will prompt if they are coming up on ANY Sirius channel. Mom's Subaru does NOT have that feature, at least not that we have found.

The song title can be found by pressing the I button on the screen, which is also the page that allows a few other options.
