Default Adding blue ambient light to footwell area

My car has white lights at footwells when doors are open. Can blue light be somewhat added that illuminates all the time? Just to match the rest of the blue ambient lights in the car. I had this OEM in other cars and it is quite practical...

See

and with credit to @OzXFR "Last but not least, and getting back to the title of this thread, the footwell lights cannot change colour as the stock ones are simple T10 5W5 halogen globes of a horribly sickly yellow colour (pretty much standard across the JLR range), and one of the first things I did was swap them out for bright white LEDs. Others have swapped them for Ice Blue LEDs as that is the closest you will get to the OEM Phosphor Blue lighting".

You could add an additonal switched power supply if you wanted the footwell lights to remain on at all times. It's a simple 12V circuit controlled by the door switches.

I upgraded mine to Ice Blue along with the door down lighters, which illuminate the interior door sills when the doors are closed.

Not my car, but this is what you can achieve for relatively little time and cost.

Yeah the first thing to do is to replace those crappy OEM footwell lights with ice blue LEDs as explained in the video.

Don't know how to make them stay on permanently though so if you want some permanent illumination of the footwells you could add some other lights. In my previous two Jags I added subtle ice blue LED strips to the center console. I still have those LED strips and toyed with the idea of running them along the lower edges of the centre console in the F-Type which would light up the footwells from the center but never got down to it. I don't really see the point of having permanently illuminated footwells anyway.

Thank you so I think I will start with changing the whites to blues at footwells and doors.
Also, I would like to change the white to blue on the ceiling illumining led - that one that is on all the time.
If I wanted to add another circuit for lights that are always on, how can I do it? Do I need to wire from the fusebox?

Make sure that you get "Ice Blue" LED bulbs. As you can see in the picture the blue bulbs in the footwell don't match the ice blue trim around the console...

Yep, and still all those lights were sold as ice blue and with a much lighter shade of blue than plain darker blue LEDs.

Definitely make sure they're ice blue. Even then it's tricky to match because a lot of ice blue LEDs are still a bit darker blue than the car's built in ice blue lights. The ice blue color in the car also has a touch of green in it and it seems damn hard to find 100% matching LEDs. Many years ago I managed to find a set of ice blue LEDs which were 90% matching but they died after a couple of years and since then all replacements I found were a bit darker.

If you have the adaptive interior lighting you could also play around with the color of the car's interior lights to match the footwell LEDs.
