All sound gone from speakers, is something I turned off?
my '23 R lost all speaker sound yesterday. Driving to son's house, listening to my USB thumb drive sounds. Parked and two hr later got in the car and no sound, volume controls don't work, radio stations are on but no sound. Called my wife and no sound thru the speakers on my hands free phone.
Did I mute something by mistake or is this an actual glitch. Turned the car off and restarted, still nothing.
thoughts?

I had something like that happen. The source had changed on its own and volume dropped to zero. I did the old 'ensure the battery is all the way topped off' trick and haven't had the issue again..
actually when trying to change radio volume it shows the volume is turned up even though no sound, and it just will not change. Like the whole sound system just froze.
I'll put a trickle charge on it just in case as you suggest. It does not get driven much, but I just drove it for 20 min just a couple of hours before this happened.

It's varied hassles like this that motivate me to always plug the car in when I'm not driving it. I too have a low mile short trip use case. It is well established that low voltage issues can manifest in a myriad of weird and unpredictable ways like this, and other ways. I have enough problems in my life without having random hard to diagnose things occur that are essentially unnecessary with very little effort...i.e.: Plugging in when not in use.
Your battery will last longer as well if you do this, so to me it's a no brainer.
I think the key is to make sure plugging in is not a chore. The first thing I did when I got the car was to set things up such that I don't need to open the bonnet or the boot at all to get my car on the conditioner/charger. This makes it very easy/convenient, which means I won't mind doing it etc...My setup has been working perfectly in this way, so it is always on the charger...Super easy to do, so why not...
For your interest, this is how I set things up with my car for convenient charging. Again, zero issues. The plug is fully sealed but as a precaution I drop a little dielectric grease in the plug at the beginning of the driving season just to be sure -->

I've read that it takes a 20 minute drive to put back what the car has taken out of the battery on startup.
Well, I got in the car this morning to get a haircut and right off the bat all the sound, radio, music thumb drive, etc came right on. WTF ?? In either case I put a trickle charger on it to make sure the battery is up to full charge and will make that a habit from now on.
I do that already on my wife's Corvette as that one only gets driven about 500 mi a year.
thanks all for the responses.
