Default Amber Check Engine Light

Hey guys, as I’m in the theatre lobby for Top Gun (go see it, awesome!) I was prompted on phone to download new Jaguar Remote app. It’s nice. After movie, turn car on and Amber Check Engine light suddenly on. This is in the F Type R. Any experience? Quite the coicidence happening right when app on phone was changed.

If I remember, this happened on my S back in 2018 and it turned out to be an O2 sensor. I suppose it could be I forgot to click the gas cap multiple times?

thanks

Default Gas cap or old gas

Best way to check is put fresh gas in and click the cap. BTDT, and codes indicated that is was gas related. You also then have to drive abit before it clears itself.

Hope you are aware that the O2 sensors are now under an extended warranty. Jaguar will replace them even if your car warranty is expired.

I remember reading somewhere, maybe on this forum, that a flashing CEL means big trouble stop driving pronto but a solid CEL simply means an emissions fault and in turn 99% of the time a faulty O2 sensor.
