Default Android Bluetooth Compatible Phones

Looks like my LG G2 Android phone isn't compatible with the F-Type's Bluetooth system. The LG G2's Bluetooth crashes when trying to connect ("Bluetooth has stopped working" message). BT connectivity can be finicky with Android since every phone/version is different (unlike the iPhone iPads that are more standardized). I did get my old Samsung Note (original Note) to connect via Bluetooth fine. So I'm trying to compile a list of Android phones that are known to work with the F-Type's BT system because it looks like I might need a new phone :-(

If you have a Android phone that is able to connect, please let us know.

Does Not Work:

LG G2 (Android 4.4.2, connects then crashes)

Works:

Samsung Note (original Note)

Before you give up on the G2 one thing to check - did you have an iPod or anything else plugged in to the USB connection when you tried to pair your phone? Even with iOS devices some features don't work well (or at all) if, say, an iPod is connected. You can't, for example, stream audio and the phone won't fully connect when an iPod is connected.

Just a thought as something to try before you give up on the G2. I'd be surprised if it didn't work assuming you're running a recent version of Android.

Got the LG G2 to connect! Had to give in and do a factory reset on the phone. PITA to reinstall all my apps but at least now I'm connected.

Default Android compatibility

I was wondering whether anyone has updates to this thread - I am switching from Blackberry to Android and the JLR bluetooth connectivity tool is not showing the newer phones (e.g. Samsung Galaxy S6). Any info about newer Android phones that work well with the F Type would be helpful. Thanks

Edit:

Sorry, Samsung S6 is not out yet, I meant S5, also the LG G3 is on my shopping list.

My Motorola MOTO G Android works. So does my wife's Samsung Galaxy S Relay Android.

My Nexus 6 works well for both phone and BT audio.
