Default Anyone else experience this problem?

So, I've only had my F-Type for a few weeks and unfortunately my wife is not a happy camper.
It seems my driving style has changed and according to her, not for the better. I now tend to accelerate hard then lift my foot of the gas so I can hear those great pops and crackles, then repeat and repeat and repeat again. It never fails to bring a smile to my face but apparently my wife is not of the same opinion and for some reason is getting tired of the jerky ride.
Anyone else experience this issue?
Is our 30 year marriage now doomed to fail?

You should have gotten the S with the spousal mode button (active switchable exhaust). I always have it in spousal mode when the significant other is in the car (might as well just drive her around in one of our two MINIs). Marital bliss is firmly in your hands (and feet).

Someone taught me on here that you don't have to hit the throttle hard to create the sound of over run. You can just give it has normally then right after letting off, feather the pedal down and off again. This causes more crackles than anything I've done so far. Just wind the rpm to 3000 when you do this.

Apparently the F-Type has made me more impatient with bad drivers and people in my way. The GF lectures me on this regularly.

I'm going to try this later today. If I can get the same results, you may have saved my marriage!

3000-4000 rpm in race mode is the best crackles, as above stated you don't have to accelerate hard just as long as you let go at around 3500 ish

An alternative is a set of ear plugs for your wife.

I found a happy compromise: wife gets us to the destination in regular quiet mode, I get to drive home in sport mode with exhaust valves open. The tale of two kittens

I usually wait 15 minutes, have a conference call, wife falls asleep out of sheer boring words to her, and then after the call, put it in dynamic, and like the cereal...."SNAP, CRACKLE' POP" in peace!

I always drive like a maniac, she is used to it, and she likes the noises drowns out my constant babbling.
