Anyone Had a Warranty Claim Denied After Fitting a VAP Tune?
Santa delivered a VAP ECU flashing tool in the mail today, but I'm hesitant to install it until after my (extended) warranty runs out in the middle of 2021. Thoughts? I'm an Aussie so any local input would be especially valued.
ps. It's actually going on a V6 SE, but I posted here as many more F-Type owners have been down this road.

Gooday Andrew! I made a claim on my redbook warranty but it was only for a leaking sensor something and a bearing, no issue with either of them notwithstanding a few mods including VAP, but that wasnt going through the dealer for the warranty stuff. Personally I'd get the car in for a Jag service and make sure nothing engine related is problematic before I put the tune on.
You wait, it'll be wicked with the tune...

Hi Peter. That's kind of my thinking too. Hopefully, it'll be so 'wicked with the tune' that I'll save around $88K ($90K on buying an F-Type minus $2K to get the pulley done on my XE.......).
Cheers, well personally I reckon the XE handles as well as the F Type and it is easier to get in and out of, so a 450hp XE is pretty compelling stuff, especially at the price. Let us know how you go.
