Default Anyone running H&R springs with a 17mm spacer? V6S specficially?

Been doing some research on here and it seems that for 99% of the stock wheels out there we need to get 17mm or larger spacers in order to not have to trim the stock studs.

I just lowered my car on H&R springs and was wondering if 17mm spacers will cause the car to rub, I was leaning towards 15mm to play it safer but I don't want to trim the studs

I'm on these wheels

2015 R here, I had 17mm front and rears with H&Rs and had rubbing issues, mostly isolated around the rear right wheel on deep compression. It was fine on all other corners. Swapped to 15mm and still can rub if it's a really deep compression, but gone for the most part. I get the impression that the rear right is sitting a little lower than my other corners.

darn, so you ended up trimming your studs? I wonder if the gas tank being in the rear right plays a factor in the extra weight there perhaps

Yes, I ended up cutting the studs. It was a simple task with a $20 angle grinder off of harbor freight.

I also have 17mm spacers on the rear [15mm on the front] with H&R springs and have had no issues [but did have to trim the studs]. No big deal. I don't drive my car to an extreme degree, so that might make a difference. The improved stance and handling [attenuating body-roll] made a huge difference for me.

One thing to also keep in mind is the manufacturer of the tire as well. The same sized tire from different manufacturers may have different measured widths.

Keep in mind not all the stock wheels require trimming. Some have relief in the back to give room.

This has come up eleventy million times but so far the only 20" OEM wheels which fit over 15 mm spacers are the Blade wheels.
So it's not some it's one.

Ok... I guess I somehow missed the.... eleventy million posts that you must have read, my bad, please accept my most sincere apologies.

Point is, check your wheels (including aftermarket) to see if they have clearance, you may not have to bother with the stud modification

It's not that I have read all eleventy million posts on this (close but not quite) but that I have Blade wheels and I have fitted 15 mm spacers with zero problems!

did you go with 15 in the front because the 17s rub? or just prefer 15?
