Anyone thought how cutting vinyl wrap can give new ftype look ?
I was looking at the pic of the Ftype compared to the new face lift version and by simply cutting vinyl wrap in a certain angle, can give us the same headlights look of the new facelift. Any comments ?!?!?

I think the OP is thinking of the 2018+ LED headlamps. They only illuminate at the bottom, forward edge of the headlamp housing...so covering the top parts wouldn't make a difference.
That might render the cornering lights useless though.
I did that with moderate success on my XKR which had the 2010 version headlights (car always looked a bit depressed). I was trying to get the look of the 2012 version which had the smarter looking units. My car was silver and I worked with black, I think it would have been a lot more successful if I had silver wrap or a black car.
Could you do it? Sure, it is pretty doable...Depends on the color of the car and how close you can get the wrap to match. But should you do it? A personal preference question of course, and like others, I am not loving the new look in the front.
I enjoy classic cars and quite a few passed through my hands. Many of such cars were comparable to F-type in their day - meaning they were iconic roadsters in the luxury segment. Not a supercar, where no expense is ever spared, but in a category where a middle class person could probably afford a well-used example at some point in car's life.
When shopping for such cars I will always blacklist any example where visible attempts were made to make it look like a newer example. My rationale is as follows - a) I could easily buy 25 year old car instead of 30, they all eventually depreciate to the same baseline, b) I have to do extra work to undo mods on top of all other work c) at least one of the previous owners wanted a newer car but couldn't afford it - such cases often indicate lack of maintenance due to lack of means.
To put it bluntly, if you do something like this to your car you will be killing resale value and killing any kind of prestige driving an F-type would bring to you. People that don't know cars won't be able to visually tell the differences between years - to them anything from 2014 to 2021 F-type would be "a cool car, probably an Austin Martin like James Bond drove in that movie". To a car guys that do know Jags, this mod will turn an aging cool car into poser's car. This is not like slapping M badge on your 320 - the badge will not be fooling anyone.
So unless you are planning to use your F-type in homemade rap videos or social media influencer productions, don't do that to the car (and your dignity).
The beauty of wrap is that it is pretty cheap and peels straight off. I have a bit on my car (a pillars, sills) which were successful and I am leaving on. But I have tried other things (blacking out below the doors to get a more nipped in look, blacking out the centre fin) which didnt work out at all. So I put them on look at it, think yuk, then pull it off. Dont die wondering, give it a go!
You might find though that the new F Type front end is flatter than ours (that is the case with the XE facelift, it is actually a bit of a pain because the edges of the car scrape on gutters more) and the look of it wont be the same.
The Series III looks like an R8, the Series II below it has Porsche styling cues...plastic horizontal bar across the air scoop.
The designs get progressively worse - Follows the E-Type theme.
Don't get me wrong, they are still all lovely cars, but it's difficult to improve the Series I to my eye at least.
Im just glad to get your opinions. I agree that it would look poser so left it As-is.

Again personal taste but I also like the original headlight and design better. For me this is one of the first cars I don't want to do any appearance mods.
Holy cow! How lucky are we that the new design did not supersede the old one aesthetically. Instant classic. Of course we could get a little closer to the 2021's but why? If you like the new design better, I'm sure they will be available used in 5 years for 30k or so.
